AI assistants are taking the world by storm, with new models being released at a rapid pace. As a user, how do you decide which one to use? I tested out the four most talked-about assistants — OpenAI’s ChatGPT-4, Anthropic’s Claude 2, Google’s Bard, and Meta’s LLaMA 2 — on a variety of tasks to help you determine the right fit.
Note there is a free version of ChatGPT, but it does not include plugins or Code Interpreter, limiting its ability to access the web or complete some of the tasks below.
Price
- ChatGPT-4: Requires a £20/month subscription for full functionality
- Claude, Bard, and LLaMA 2: All free to use
For light or occasional use, the free tools may be sufficient, but frequent users will get more value from ChatGPT-4’s higher limits and web capabilities.
